Anna~Senior 2012

I had the opportunity to photograph this gorgeous young lady on Friday. Anna did an excellent job with everything I asked her to do. Thank you Anna! She will be heading off to college in the fall and I can't wait to see where her path leads her.

Jacob~Senior 2012

I had the opportunity to photograph Jacob yesterday. I have watched him grow and mature into a great young man over the last 5 years. He did a wonderful job with everything I asked him to do. He even brought along a few props for his pics. Excellent job Jacob!

Priceless

I went into her room to check on her and this is what I found. My little sleeping Angel. It was such an awesome delight that I had to take a picture. Also a good time to practice some in the dark shots. It didn't last long though after a couple of shots with the flash she woke. It was still a priceless moment at our house.

Cupcake Tower

Hello my name is Johnna and I am addicted to Pinterest. Ok, now that I have revealed my deepest darkest secret I will attempt to write a tutorial on how to make this cute cupcake tower.

The lighting was horrible when I took the picture so please excuse the poor pic. So the first thing you will need to do is gather some supplies.

Supply List

• 1- 12x12 ceramic tile
• 1 8x8 ceramic tile*
• 1 4x4 ceramic tile
• 2 4" candle stick holders**
• 5 wooden door knob pulls

* Lowes does not carry 8X8 tiles, but they will cut one for you.
** You can get whatever size candlesticks you would like, these are just the ones that I found at my local thrift store.
And these-

The first thing that I did was adhere the knobs to the bottom of my largest tile.Then I  spray painted my tiles, knobs, and candlestick holders.  After I spray painted all of the tiles I let them dry for a couple of hours. It was kind of cold outside when I painted them and I think that is why it took so long. I would probably let them dry overnight if I had to do it over again.

Now after all your pieces are painted and dry you will need to grab your modge podge and paint brush along with your scrapbook paper. I cut my paper to about .75 of an inch smaller on all sides with the use of my paper cutter. My paper size ended up being 11.25x11.25 for the large tile. I cut my smaller piece for the 4x4 tile at 3.75x3.75.

Here is a link to a video on you tube showing you how to use modge podge. Ok now after you have adhered your paper to your tile you should now seal all the pieces using the Rust-Oleum clear coat seal. It is water resistant so you will be able to wipe your tower with a wet rag after use. Follow the directions on the back of the can. After you have sealed the pieces and allowed them to dry you will now glue them together. I used the E-6000 glue, it is very stinky. I noticed the other day that someone used silicone. That may be a thought. If you go that route let me know how it turns out.

I centered my candle stick on my large tile by using my ruler and sharpie. You can mark the center with your sharpie. (Don't worry you will cover it up when you put your candlestick holder on it.) I would suggest gluing one piece at a time. I am very impatient and would not let the glue dry before I added the next piece and I kept getting them out of alignment. Ahhhhhhh :)

Now glue on the top and your done.

I added some ribbon and bows to match the theme of my daughters birthday party. I used some double sided tape so that I could remove it and add different colors for my older daughter's birthday. I had a thought, after the fact, that you could not modge podge any paper on at all. Then just personalize it to the theme of the party by cutting scrap book paper and placing it on the shelves.
